This app replaces a blood sugar diary, a blood pressure diary, a list of medications, an medical ID card (or a medical alert card) in case of emergencies, a dictionary, travel information and a phone book for emergency numbers worldwide and a lot more. Diabetes can be called an epidemic of the 21st century. At least 234 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes. But diabetics can be hit by wanderlust, too. And they shall also enjoy that. If you are well prepared even far-away destinations can be tackled by diabetics. A diabetic must be careful with what he eats. Unusual food can provoke abnormal reactions and a visit to a doctor or hospital is required. Therefore I’ve included a medical ID card in several languages. As a diabetic in case of hypoglycemia might not be able to use the cell phone any longer, everyone can create one button for this emergency on the home screen, in different languages. Also a small phrasebook is embedded, so that the most important vocabulary for the communication with the doctor, for example, is available offline. A list of medications that can be filled out by you yourself, a daily blood sugar and blood pressure diary to keep track of the results, complement the app. Thus the app is not only useful on trips, but also interesting at home.
