We were told ahead of time this game was a sequel that takes place on the same map. Dont understand what people are mad about. The environment is beautiful. The neon is weird but pleasing. They ditched most of the flying vehicles but brought the buzzer back (nade launcher from the cockpit!) The game is focused around outposts which I personally enjoy. Story isnt very immersive. New takedowns are pretty cool. The game took two steps back towards stealth. I wish this could be FC5 dlc, but i understand this wouldnt have delivered 3 months after 5. Just makes the cut for being worth it at full price . A steal at 20.

I love the far cry series and this is a great installment, that being said I would probably only recommend this for far cry fans. If your new to the series then I don't think this is a game for you. Other then that I love the new gameplay elements and the large amount of guns with a new class system to boot. I had a really fun time playing through this even though it was a short game.

Yes this is Far Cry 5 part 2, (i feel like ubisoft spelled that out pretty well pre launch) but imo its well worth the $40 starting price and its an amazing deal if you find it for sale. Same map as Farcry5 but with 25 years of overgrowth and nature reclaiming the landscape it feels almost new. New loot and upgrade system keeps things new and new Guns for Hire is best its been. Story is decent but not nearly as strong as FC3 ,4 , or 5. But Definately worth a chance. If youre a Farcry fan youll have a lot of fun

Anyone who says they completed this in a day did NOT play the game as intended and only flew through the main story. Even though this is a "side game", I still got just shy of 40 hours of gameplay and loved every minute. If you actually want to experience the game and do all the outposts, expeditions, achievements, challenges, etc., then there is LOTS of Far Cry glory to enjoy here. In a time where many people are complaining about not enough single player experiences, this is a must buy ... ESPECIALLY for anyone who liked FC5.

I gave this game a 3 and I think that's generous. This is a FarCry 5 expansion, nothing more. But they sold it as a new game which it is not. If you like the series then its worth a go but if you were not impressed with 5 than skip it. The quality and gameplay is nothing new. They are not fooling all of us. We live in an age of reskin and nonsense. Therefore be wary about this one and future Farcry titles. Btw this was no joke supposed to finish out FC5 instead they added neon and BS then passed it off as new. Shame thats how Ubisoft has been treating gamers the past 18 months.

Nice graphics, good story, well designed characters and excellent gameplay. If you like crafting, a nice improvement over Far Cry 5 with some interesting new weapons to have fun with. I also enjoy the new base upgrade features. If you liked Far Cry 5, this is a must have game - A worthy sequel at a fair price. The only negative I can find other than some performance bugs typical with a new game, game credits are expensive - fortunately not required and in no way takes away from what a fun game this is. Easy 5 stars.

Remember the Scifi channel original movies? Yep. Its like one of those: Great actor with a minimal ****** role, short, a copy of something better, everything that made the A-list an A-list was left out for no reason.... But just like Scifi originals, you get involved anyway because theres nothing else to do, and in the end its still decent even if only because you see some hot D-list celebrity naked before they get killed by the monster. Like Scifi, looks good but feels lazy. Also you can customize nothing at all except your characters clothes... But the clothes look like 1996 eminem. Weird looking and baggy.

I bought Farcry5 to play this, never been a Farcry fan. Where Farcry5 exeled NewDawn failed. You took away unique hires, you took away weapon, vehicle, plane, and helecopter options. HELL, you even streamlined perk choices. You may have added features that brought me to the Farcry franchise but what you took away was priceless. NewDawn feels like a low budget Fallout4. You could have taken another year and and polished this game into a gem, but you rushed it out and delivered a lump of coal. SHAME.
