Review title of AndrewMake your own shortcut from Chrome instead

Admittedly, the interface for this app is clean and looks nice, but if you don't want ads, just open google maps in chrome > click 3 dots in top right for menu > More tools > Create shortcut... > Check Open as window. Voila! There is now a shortcut to Google Maps on your Desktop and within the Start menu apps list under a folder called Chrome Apps. If you are like me and the folder drives you crazy just right click on the new shortcut > Open file location > drag a copy of the shortcut into the Programs folder one directory up. Now Google Maps will be located in the Start Menu all apps list but not buried in a folder.

user interface, response, search function, favourite sync with google account are good. Two requests are: 1 can't re-open saved favourite if once tapped same favourite. 2 the map automatically return to current position when GPS signal is active nevertheless manually scrolled to another position. (it should not be moved to current position until user tapped my position icon)
