Good for a Free to play

Great game but I have a few complaints: 1. Poor matchmaking (not only does every new player get paired with experienced players, but when you go into a lobby, not a lot of people join and get paired with unhelpful AI. That isn't neccicarily the game's fault, but it's a warning to those who are team players. 2. Pay to win (I would normally tell you to get gud, but it really is a problem because we don't want players with op weapons one shotting everyone) 3. Boring campaign This game is actually pretty fun though and if you like this, try out its sequel, Happy dungeons.

Once great, but dying

Happy Wars was once a great game. Full scale battles, fast matchmaking, and great characters. Then came item evolution, laying waste to once great weapons. Matchmaking began malfunctioning, driving most players away. Most recently, Mk 2 items were introduced, causing all other versions of items to be immediately outclassed. The game has been dying for two years, and how is it being dealt with? Ignorance. This game's future is almost sealed. It will fall, just like Marble Blast Ultra. There is still time, but will it be used to save the game, or be used in some sad attempt to drain your wallet? Seems like Toylogic would rather make a sequel (Happy Dungeons) to a game they claim is still in "Pre-Release" (Happy Wars) than fix and finish the first.

This was. once a great game, a blast, So many players making full scale battles this game thrives from, but it has changed... Not only is there a lack of players that diminish the experience, poor netcode causing COMBAT delay in a COMBAT game, but also poor and worsening matchmaking. These problems, coupled with Toylogic being OBLIVIOUS to these issues doing nothing to fix them and only worsening them, makes me worry for this game's future... Unfortunately, that is on the assumption that it has one.

This game was once great but as time moved forward the neglect from toylogic took its toll. and now in its dying breaths we few who still fight for its life are begging for one last glimmer of hope... but sadly the embers of life have faded and now we wait... we wait for the final battle.

I love that you can customize your character with helmets, armor, shields, wands, and accessories and play with him/her and I also love that you can play local but it won't let me play online it says I have no connection but I do have connection but I still think it is very fun.🙂👌

Like many others, I was a beta tester for Happy Wars on 360 and I had a lot of fun over those years. However, since I got Happy Wars on XBOX ONE in April, I've only been able to connect to 2 matches. Its a servere disappointment since I know it's not an issue on my end. All other matchmaking games I own work fine. Please fix the connection issues for 5 * rating! UPDATE: Since writing this review connections have been much more stable! Thank you, and as promised, here is your 5 stars!

happy wars is alot more than a game,there are many ways to play this game. you could play on the story mode or train in the skirmish mode or with xbox gold you can play with random,or your friends. even tho you may hate it, at least its a game that you can pass the time or just hangout.

The game has been my favorite since 360 and now its even better on one with good design and the chacters. I really like that you could customize the chacters any way you want. But the game has bad match making though but when it works its good. I like the event games but they are not like before like you earn prizes and stuff. Oh yeah my favorite event game is castle defense.👍👍👍
