Linada Play WP7 is an application for remotely controlling your UPnP and DLNA compatible devices. With Linada Play WP7 you can browse your UPnP and DLNA compatible media libraries for music, video and images and play the content on either the phone or on UPnP and DLNA compatible media players. In addition, Linada Play WP7 can download photos into your phone for offline use. Linada Play WP7 is specifically targeted for Windows Phone 7 devices, although it runs on Windows Phone 8 devices as well. However, please note that for Windows Phone 8 there is a release of Linada Play that contains features not present in this version and that is specifically targeted for Windows Phone 8. Linada Play WP7 is a significantly improved successor of the free Linada app, offering: * better video playback support (seeking, two fullscreen display modes and volume control for external devices), * improved playlist (visuals & performance & increased item quota to 1000), * playlist playback on local device under screen lock, * configuration setting for enabling Linada Play to run under screen lock (useful for playlist playback on external devices), * repeat & random play modes for both audio and video playback, * improved integration with the phone's Universal Volume Control, * generally improved visuals and application performance and * better interoperability support with other UPnP / DLNA devices. Note, Linada Play WP7 is not a UPnP Media Server or a UPnP Media Renderer. In addition, Linada Play WP7 cannot play the phone's local content on external UPnP / DLNA devices. Linada Play WP7 doesn't transcode media items itself. Local media playback is limited to the content formats natively supported by the Windows Phone 7 platform. However, various Media Servers support runtime transcoding and Linada Play WP7 attempts to use such capabilities whenever required and possible.
