First thing to know about this game is to drop ALL yuour expectations at the door, and go into this with no real expectations. The problem is the fact that EA and BioWare hyped this game beyond what it really is; A cool sci-fi game loosely based in the Mass Effect universe. If you go into it with just moderate expectations, you will have a great time. The graphics are certainly better, but the eyes could've been worked on more. Aside from a couple performance issues, the game was an enjoyable time!

I bought the game at launch and loved it. Even with all the bugs and weird animations. I had my new mass effect game and that's all that mattered. But I can not, in good faith, recommened this game to others now that bioware has pulled all ongoing support for their single player mode. If Hello Games can continue to put out updates for No Man's Sky months after releasing despite mountains of bad press and reviews, I fail to see why bioware and EA can't at least give us the hinted at Quarian Ark DLC. This is such a beloved series, it breaks my heart to see the people making it treat the game as a quickly disregarded cash grab. Andromeda is okay, but it could have really been great.

Review title of GrizzK1DEA needs to learn about Flow theory.
The gameplay was enjoyable, but I found it difficult to maintain much interest in the main story. For a while I was playing and enjoying the multiplayer, even though the grind for characters and gear was a bit tedious. I completed my common and uncommon collections, and had 445 rare / ultra rare cards remaining to complete my list. This week's update added another 2096 cards, making a total of 2541 more cards. This was entirely demoralizing. First off, I don't think I would have completed the grind for the remaining 445 cards, as multiplayer gameplay was way too repetitive, which got old pretty quickly. However, adding such a large number of cards without improving gameplay or making it somehow more enjoyable has completely destroyed my desire to continue playing. I deleted the game and am not sure I will play it again. I am very disappointed with how game developers have latched onto the micro transaction / pay to win scheme. It has ruined the gaming industry.

Review title of kinguhdahood5Where is Mass Effect?
Let me be honest and give props for the gameplay. Gotta say, whether anyone likes it or not, it was a good step. The story isn't even that bad, but it's not the story the ME fans wanted, including me. Character appearance, even with smoother graphics, just doesn't look realistic, more cartoony than anything else. Honestly, a lot was done well, but key components, like the character appearance, the romantic features, and the story twist all change what Mass Effect was. This is also ignoring the fact that your starting character went from being a boss to being some kid who doesn't seem to know anything. I try to get into it, cause I'm an ME fan, but even with all the changes, good and bad, I can't really push through it. Its just an entirely different game to me now. Id be more persuaded to play the ME3 DLC than Andromeda. If your new to ME by all means I'd suggest it but to the fans of the originals, this might be an upset.

Review title of I is MadzIt's so so, but it's not Mass Effect
To start off on a good note, the game play is fine. Not great, but kinda acceptable. But this game is not Mass Effect. The story feels like something you would scrape off the bottom of your shoe and is downright painful to play through. As someone who played though ME 1-3 many times without chance of becoming bored, I struggled to play though this game when I first got it. The characters are dryer than my love life, the faces are something you would want to drown in holy water, and the hollow "Conversations" you have with them helps build a burning hatred to those on your ship rather than a emotional attachment. Cut scences are in a form of itself torture. But The sad bit is, 2 of the 9+ romances have a cut scene that are 10 times better than the rest of the game. With real effort put into them. I waited for another mass effect game to live up to the other ones for so long. This is not that game.

Review title of Ozone ParkDont be ok, with ok
Its crazy to see people review games and be ok with bugs and issues with games. The industry is taking advantage of this train of thought. Games that come out with bugs, crashes, any other issues are incomplete games and they sell them at full price. Then not fixing issues or killing support and any extra DLC after launch.... smh. Waited way too long for a full priced, incomplete game. For those who are ok with continuing this trend the industry is putting in place is a shame. Would you not return an item that is flawed or broken? We are unable to do so easily with this industry and it looks as if we are ok with dishing out full price for an unfinished product. Only way they hear us, is by affecting their wallets. Wake up people.

Review title of JohnnySE7ENMaybe buy at $10 and hold your nose
The action gameplay was good. Crafting was useful and didnt require a degree to figure out. it was interesting for about 20-30 hrs single-player. HOWEVER. this glitchy, poorly-written. LOOONG (90h completionist play-thru) mess of a game does not at all compare to the first 3. From the top-down this game is a pile of unfinished work and terrible character design (writing) that doesnt have any of the maturity, depth and polish of the prior games. Your teammates whine, act on stupid whims and generally seem like they were written for a childrens tv movie. not a one is appealing for romance or even has anything interesting to say. this final build also still has sliding characters, spinning glitch heads, vast empty planets, unnecessary animation with long load screens and clips (takes forever to go from one colony to the next), missions that just end at the fetch--no wrap-up discussion or result... In general, skip it if you're not a die-hard ME fan. If you do play, just skim it. sucks

Review title of BlazinMattReally EA/Bioware?!
Not only does EA kill all hopes of ever getting single player DLC, and continually milked the ever loving hell out of those gullible enough to buy into the multiplayer, now i see they've released a standard recruit and deluxe recruit edition to, let's face it, try and make up for all the money they lost on Battlefront 2. EA just continues to show everyone why they're the most hated company in the world. Just when you think EA can't sink to a new level of scummy, they come along and prove you wrong! This game was a decent enough game on it's own, just not a good Mass Effect game at all! EA's continued mishandling of the Mass Effect license is nothing but a HUGE slap in the face to all the true fans! 😡👎

This is far from the trilogy, but the game isn't bad. Don't come in expecting what was this is absolutely new through and through. In my opinion the concept is better for exploration. Although the story lacks the company of the trilogy. In other words the signature feeling of companionship with your followers is not what is was and that is the biggest drop off. Ryder isn't shepherd either the dialogue isn't what it was either. Like I said not a bad game but it's doesn't hold a candle to the trilogy.

Review title of N7 BLADEboring, lame. and a slap in the face of ME fans
pre ordered this game (mistake) cuz i enjoyed ME3 multiplayer (MP). figured I would play single player (SP) as well. Single player proved to be a boring grind. Repeating ide missions requiring boring tasks. lame dialogue, clumsy character graphics, uninteresting characters. the list goes on. but i really ot this game or the MP and it is terrible. there are either two possibilities: the makers of MEA set out to purposefully make a terrible MP, or they were just idiots who had no clue why ME3 MP was so loved. All the great things about ME3 MP (great weapons, diverse characters, cool powers, owerful Cobra rpg, cool enemies, etc.) failed to transfer to MEA MP. MEA is slow, clumsy, asinine. reloads and movement is slow. weapons are difficult to aim, semi autos have slow fire rate, n are terribly weak and umbalanced. the few good weapons from ME3 they tried to transfer to MEA are ruined (e.g. N7 valkerie). amusingly they transferred weak ME3 weapons into worse forms on MEA. Just awful.

Definitely not worth the wait and doesn't have the mass effect feel to it, a whole new galaxy with one interactive native species, lame... The main bad guys plot reminds me of halo 2, squad custumization has beeen down sized greatly, only a select few of your crew, you actually feel like you connect to, with the others feeling like they're just fill in's, story isn't anywhere near as enriched as ME1 intro to the 1st series, the game control mechanics are scetchy, idk what people are seeing, but the graphics look like 360 quality not new gen quality, the movement animation in body & face are embarrassing for a new gen game, overall this is a game you want to wait to go on sale b4 you buy...YOU SUCK EA!!!👎😆 step it up!!!...(NEW) Don't know if i just noticed this or it happened in an update, but when you buy a piece of equipment for a certain strike team, then you switch it, then you have to re buy it if you want to use it again for that same strike team, sooooo lame, took a star off
