More Maps is a simple mapping application that allows you to choose from a variety of digital maps, provided by Microsoft Bing Maps or several OpenStreetMap (OSM) renderers: - Bing Road Map - Bing Aerial Images - Bing Hybrid (Aerial Images & Roads) - OSM content rendered by Mapnik - OSM content rendered by OpenCycleMap.org - OSM content rendered by CloudMade.com Maps can be easily manipulated by Pan and Zoom gestures. Your current location and moving direction is indicated on the map, and the map can be kept centered on your location while you're moving. More Maps utilizes the Bing Maps Geocoding and Routing services to find addresses, localize places you tapped on in the map and calculate driving or walking routes from your current location to a target location or vice versa. A simultaneous display of a route on the map and a list view of the route's points, including driving hints, makes navigation easy. For a permanent display you might choose to disable idle detection, and thus prevent automatic phone screen locking.
