By lightly fading the video into the background, you can continue to watch while you read comments, browse channels and videos, and everything else you can do in the app. If you can do something in the app, then you can do it while watching a video! myTube even can play the audio of videos in the background while you use another app ;) Note: - Google makes changes to YouTube all the time, please keep this in mind! I'll work as hard as I can to keep things going after a change is made. - The trial version limits you to watching 1 hour of video in every 3 hours, then you will have to wait 10 minutes to continue watching. First off, if you really like watching YouTube vids on your phone, you owe it to yourself to pick up this app. I have tried the others, and have settled on this one to be my go to YouTube app. I wish it were on Windows 8, I wish it were on Android cause the Google made apps are not as good as this one. The user interface was well thought out and very pleasing to the eye. It has an aesthetic that I really appreciate. I like especially how it just flows when you swipe left and right, no lag, no stuttering, just smooth and intuitive. Video playback is also very good, video's look stunning on any Windows Phone I have used, be it the Lumia 920, or now with the 1520. Sliding your finger across the screen to move the video forward or backward has completely ruined me on any other YouTube app. Simple things like being able to share vids from in the app are just icing on the cake. Best YouTube app you will ever use, it puts to shame all the others.

After Update 3.4 background music is not working

Even the trial runs hours without any probs for me. Not limited time. Access to playlist when logged in. UPDATE: After updating to 3.4 (26.10.2018) the app stops playing in backround after few seconds. Reinstalling didnt help! App is useless now. It worked so good, what happened there?

Review title of KennGood app but enough with the donation requests!

Since I already bought the app, I don't appreciate being spammed with donation requests every time I launch the damn thing. I almost ready to request a refund and delete it. You're ruining a great app with this crap.

Alright, I decided to reinstall after quite a while of not having this app, and it appears all of the issues I was having have been fixed. I've been using it for a couple of days, so I hope no other issues come up. It's still not the app I initially purchased, and lacks features like: leaving the video playing full-screen in the background (in landscape mode) behind the comments or description while I scrolled through them (this gave me the ability to half-watch videos while reading the description, comments, or suggested videos, and I used it all the time); or the ability to go full-screen as soon as a video starts; but it's back to being responsive, quick, and, most importantly, crash free so far. It's still better than anything else, but not as good as its pre-10-universal version. Please bring those features back and you'll get the final star. That's the version I purchased.

Review title of NathanAmazing YouTube Experience, but.

I love this app a lot, it's the best YouTube Experience I've had. I've used it for years for that reason. I even payed for it back in the day, and that's why I'm giving it 4 start. I really want to give it 5 but every time I open the app it pops up with a message asking for a donation, it's just an extra click every time and it's starting to annoy me now, because I have already payed for the app, otherwise I would be fine with it.

Can listen to videos in background while gaming or using any other app. Can post comments on videos while on my Xbox One X. Better than the official Youtube app because of the background play feature. 👍

Review title of DanielGreat in theory; crashy in execution on the Surface Go

I like this app. A lot. It's everything you'd want from a YouTube client for Windows. I've been using this app forever, since the Windows Phone days. It's fast, it's responsive, and it has almost every feature that the official YouTube client on Android does, and some that it doesn't. It's fantastic when it works. But, unfortunately, it does not on the Surface Go. You get about 14 minutes into a video, and it crashes. Every time.
