Description

Alec Baldwin portrays United States Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson leading an international team prosecuting Nazi war criminals in the most explosive trial of the 20th century, Nuremberg. Following World War II, the Allied Powers embark on the extraordinary task of bringing Hermann Goering and 20 other members of the Nazi high command to trila. Justice Robert H. Jackson's diverse prosecution team, which includes Sir David Maxwell-Fyfe, represents the entire civilized world and its outrage against the accused Nazis. In one of the most first important--and still most important--global media events, the trial proceeds in spite of tense behind-the scenes battles. What rights do defendants have? Can a fair trial be conducted with the whole world watching? How should justice ultimately be delivered? These questions reverberate even today--more than 50 years after the momentous trials at Nuremberg.
