Review title of BCSMITHROCKSOutland is Side scrolling Action with Style.

Outland has a stylistic vision reminiscent of TRON. An epic battle between light and dark...with our hero embracing the duality of both. the game starts out simple and slow showing you a few tricks along the way, but once you have the dark and light powers....by the second boss the action really ramps up. each baddie you encounter not only needs to be attacked a certain way, but they also have an elemental weakness to either light or dark. the toggling back and forth while battling and simultaneously trying to avoild and traverse elemental lasers gets intense fairly quick. i think this game is bite sized fun...with large scale and increasingly difficult boss battles. if you like Castlevania SOTN, i`m certain you will like Outland. My biggest disappointment with this game is that the achievements are very difficult to get...and will take a lot of time trying to get the ones outside of the main story. I Suggest Achievement Hunters look elsewhere.

Review title of Superman New 52People who rate this 1 Star, ARE bad at real games.

I've played through this before on the Xbox 360, and it's great for what it is. Your average MLG wannabe kid simply can't play a game like this, because it's not a FPS, so they rate it badly. It's not Castlevania: SotN good, but it's a great atmospheric, puzzle/platformer with good action. I recommend you get it now since it's free, but if it wasn't, it's still a great buy. Don't believe the fake, "reviews" here by bad kids. Just go look at the 1 star reviews of the game or games like this. Every Gold Game isn't a AAA title, and I get the frustration, but they are free and most of us were around before we got anything for free with our Gold accounts. Four games a month is awesome any way you cut it. This game was rated high on almost every site, and doesn't deserve these 1 star reviews. Check it out. A great game with a somewhat steep difficulty curve. Main gameplay elements should be familiar to anyone who's played a MetroidVania game. Polarity switch is an ok gimmick that helps add depth to a game which, unfortunately, lacks good replaying options.

Sleeper hit indie from last gen imo. Didnt get as much credit as it deserves. I bought it a full price on the 360 and didnt regret a dime. No reason anyone shouldnt try this game for free now. Great platforming gameplay with awesome art. 9 out of 10.

I've been playing alot of shooters lately (since there the only games coming out anymore) so this game is a nice change of pace its a fun side scrolling platformer that is strangely addictive and immersive i love its style and the way it plays honestly we need more games like this

great game. as mentioned b4 the 12 year old call of duty kids that dont have the patience nor the problem solving skills will give it a bad review. The a.d.h.d, and living on numerous cans of redbull/monster and doritos, must be obscuring there judgement. This game is highly reccomended even when its costing 9, or even 14 bux. Its a stunning and beautiful game with a great atmosphere, and very challenging and engaging gameplay. I cant believe its free. Also, to adress claims that its a rip off of other games: Im sure other games served as inspiration. ALL GAMES ARE, example dishonered from assassins creed, watchdogs and sleeping dogs share alot with GTA, forza horizon from need4spd games. I could name hundreds more. Bottom line is that this is a great game and the neg reviews are phony b.s.

For an idie game the graphics are miraculously refreshing. On the other hand if God Of War and Guacamelee had a love child, you get Outland. Great Concept but it only makes me want to play G.O.W
