Description

Ping is as simple it gets - it just takes a hostname and a port number and checks the connectivity. Tapping the ping button will use port 7 (ICMP) if no input is given. Any other port number will be checked as it is. If you don't have DNS in your network, try with IP addresses. A history is maintained of all checks done so far. You can recall any item from the history by tapping on it. Use the delete button to clear the history. I developed this application while working on Get Me Tones companion app for Windows Phone since there were some problems with my network and I wanted to check connectivity from the phone itself to be sure. Update in 1.1: - Fixed a bug where deleting history didn't destroy the item list in memory - Changed default ping port to 135 since port 7 isn't really ping - Ping button gets disabled until it gets a reply or times out Get in touch with the developer at ashish [at] wpfied.com
