Think MMO leveling/gear system with a building component to match Minecraft and couple those with a Rare-esque/Viva pinata soundtrack... Its amazing. The wife can faff and make a pretty house and i can fight/level to our hearts content. Split screen and Online co-op are seamless, even together. So glad i got this little treasure, will hopefully be enjoying any and all DLC they may send our way!

If you're a fan of RPG and buling games (like me), then this game is for you. As mosr other reviews cover, it is similar to Minecraft and Terraria (which it is). A few features I dislike about it, is that you can't change your class (as i'm aware) without making a new character. Another feature I dislike is the small worlds. I wish the worlds were at least 3x bigger then they are so there could be more exploring to be done. One major issue of this game however, is that most NPC's and dungeons are the same. Talking to an NPC once is the most you can expect from them as they repeat their lines. While this is the case in most games, I just wish there was more to talk about since NPC's are "uncommon". Getting back to dungeons, they are mostly the same. Same blocks, same layout and same chest locations. In my time with Portal Knights I have only encountered FOUR unique-ish dungeons. Overall while this game is fun, it is lacking content that could (most likely) be fixed.

Like i Said, The graphics are Cartoony Which makes you think that its a "Bright game" but in reality you spend most of your time in caves, rather than killing things. Bosses are way too easy, Which makes the game kind of pointless unless you like to build..........😆 Who actually wants to build in a game where all the good building materials are expensive. Once you beat all the bosses including the Hard mode, There is no Replaying the game as another class once you realize the Hunter is the Best for clearing the game. What would bring Me back would be an Actual Hard mode that you Unlock after clearing the first couple bosses, And would affect the Enemies damage, Health and Recipe drops. Although it is fun for the first few Hours there isnt much to do after that other than Kill easy enemies for 2 hours straight for the bow you want and Mine like none has ever mined before. My 9 year old loves the game and I enjoy playing with him. It's just hard enough for him not to get discouraged and simple enough for dad to just relax and chill. We play offline so not to get disconnect issues. I have noticed that the game will lag when we both are crafting or sifting through inventory. I hope the devs continue to add content and patch the game. The warrior class needs some blocking skills because the class is really ineffective, go ranged..All in all its a fun game if you like block building and rpg elements that's not to serious.

Perhaps maybe I expected wrong, but I am starting to feel disappointed in this game. The main reason is that the worlds are tiny, even on the large setting. I dread to think what the small setting does. It gives very little room to explore and since the maps are surrounded by a void, exploring underground has little point. If this game could have one massive world to explore and more features to accompany that, this game would easily be 5 star material because most of everything else is done very well. I just can't get passed the feeling of pointlessness right now since I realized how tiny the worlds are. Again, maybe I expected too much of a Minecraft style experience, but then again the game is very similar to Minecraft already so a huge worrld wouldn't hurt. Also the loading times are not good at all, especially when considering the tiny world sizes.

the game has a lot of fun elements. so far coop only, griefer frindly, no pvp. plays simular to minecraft with most elements from terraria with some rpg elements. the island order always the same. be carefull when on line, have a main world for serious building and one for online. character saves are not reliant on world save so u can take ur characters to other worlds and u will keep your inventory. it is possible to grind from lvl (1 to lvl 30) in (30 to 60 minutes) game dlc is overpriced but could be lowered later on. needs to be better optimized for console. plays good but freezes some times. great graphics. would like to see mods and crossbuy/crossplay to be added later. its a good game could be highly improved.

Review title of UnknownHidden Gem

This game takes just the right elements from several games to create a new fun adventure. Like creativity? Build a unique house/fortress complete with furnishings. Like adventure? Lots of unique worlds to explore, each with different monsters and resources to collect. Typical RPG traits to assign each level (constitution, dexterity, etc.) as well as perks every few levels. Boss fights. Craftable weapons, armor, and tools to suit all situations. Adorable but still detailed art style. Pretty solid amount of fun to be had for the price. Hope DLC is planned. Small inventory is my one gripe just because there are load times between worlds which can be a bit tedious to travel back and forth. otherwise I highly recommend for some good fun with friends.

addictive AF!!! Must commend the developers for the work done on the controls. Completely customizable, you can even split the functions of the analog sticks. All games in all genres should have this type of controls.

Review title of UnknownIf Terraria was a Zelda clone

From what the trial has demonstrated, the games combat (as far as I can tell), Is like Zelda, but with the core gameplay and loot system very similar (except maybe for the lvl system and minor things) to terraria. The screenshots given show some epic bosses and some types of environments you would traverse. Thier where some bugs, but it was the trial version after all. If you have a group of friends who got some cash to spend and time to kill over the summer, this is something to look into.
