Pros: Bright, colorful, fun cast of characters, each with unique power and or fighting styles. Stages and sounds are all as crisp as McDonalds sprite, the campaign is fun but short (and doesn't make a whole lot of sense, there's a loose sense of order there). Easy to pick up controls. Cons: Short list of characters (8 total, and 4 dlc, which go for about 4.99), some characters are very OP with very little skill needed. While there are other way more technical and underpowered, you're better trying to cheese the fight somehow, the chiptune music gets annoying FAST, campaign scoring doesn't make much sense but kinda works (?), and to top it off the controls are frustrating to master. Being as technical as to count every last frame. That with other issues, I've had a better experience typing this out with only a controller rather than pull out my keyboard. Anyway. Decent game, needs some adjustment\balances, maybe make DLC cheaper\free?

Don't listen to the one star reviews. This game can be very fun if you actually take the time to learn its mechanics. The one star reviewers are probably casuals who like Fortnite and don't have a high enough attention span to learn how to play other games. You shouldn't expect a game like this to just click with you instantly. Platform fighting games require patience and practice in order for you to make the most out of them.

I always love the style this game is in. The detail of the backdrops are fantastic. I do think that animated cutscenes during story mode would have been nice. Nerf some top tiers and buff low ones though. You can clearly see who is op. Too clearly.

Dont let the 1 star reviews fool you. This game is fantastic, but its also not a game made with casuals in mind. It was designed to be technical and in doing so it sets itself apart from its obvious inspiration. All characters are very unique and have their own gimmick. Low roster but makes up for it with balance plus new characters keep getting added with awesome third party reps. Music and stages are wonderful and add to the world. I really can say that the only place the game lacks single player content. The stories are short yet challenging for each character. Controls can be difficult to learn and master but luckily the games tutorial is actually intuitive. BUT this is a fighter and like I said, its one meant for the expierenced and those determined to be good. Online will be brutal but also have players willing to help and share thier knowledge. Overall a really fun game for those familiar with the competitive side of Smash Bros, especially the Melee tech.

Please ignore most of the 1 star reviews as most of them are just whiny people who bought it while it was free,mostly just people complaining about the controls and "lack of training mode",I admit the controls are a bit weird but once you adapt to them USING THE TRAINING MODE THAT DOES EXIST its easy to play and hard to master,and I have no clue how some can't figure out how to use the training modes,just screw around in the menu and you'll find it in 2 minutes tops ITS SIMPLE AS COULD BE
