The top most features are described below, RSS Feed Fetcher accepts both website (which supports RSS synchronization) main page url and RSS page url to save a RSS channel into the app. The app has 4 views each for folders, channels, feeds and web pages. Folders View : Folders view allows you to create folders. Through folders you can categorize channels as per your interest. You can create and delete folders in the folders view. Channels View : Channels view presents channels of a folder. Use ‘Copy’ and ‘Copy To Folders’ features available in this view for copy a single channel or multiple channels of a folder to any other folders available in the app. In addition to the background task that the app use to update all channels, the app has a dedicated command for update all the channels of a folder in this view at the top right corner with some additional commands. Feeds View : RSS Feed Fetcher categories all the feeds of a channel into Read, Unread, Favorite, and Deleted. Initially the feeds view load with all feeds of a channel. You can filter the feeds to any category mentioned earlier by using drop down located at the top of the feeds view. In addition to the background task that the app use to update each channel, the app also has a command for update a channel in the feeds view at the top right corner with filter commands. All feeds of a channel in the feeds view are grouped based on feed published date and the app presents the most recently published feeds first and continues. Filter feeds : You can search for a specific feed by using feed title and filter feeds by feed published date in any category mentioned earlier. Background Tasks : RSS Feed Fetcher use a background task which executes on a separate process for update each channel and notifies you with toast notifications which contains feed details like feed title and channel title under which the feed published. RSS Feed Fetcher use Windows Live Tiles to show short summery of new and unread feeds. Microsoft Edge powered web view : The app use a web view which is powered by the Microsoft Edge browser engine, which can load web pages encoded with heavy scripts faster and makes the app consume less memory. The app has navigation commands like back, forward, refresh, and cancel for navigating between pages. The app has zoom in/out feature which you can use to zoom in or out web pages loaded in the web view. Use 'Scan page for RSS channels' feature to find RSS channels in a web page loaded in the web view and add the channels into the app for updates. Mono Web View : Mono web view is a special feature which lets the web view to acquire full width of the window, hence you can have full wider reading view of it. You can toggle back to the normal view by choosing Split View from Options. Other features : You can open web pages of web view in separate windows which behaves independently with other windows opened by using open in a new window command located at top right corner of the web view.
