Outspoken stand-up comic George Lopez stars in this frank and funny foray into the life of a family man. George’s (Lopez) life is trickier now that he’s become the first assembly line worker to be promoted to plant manager at an L.A. airplane parts factory. His former compadres on the floor rib him about being "Mr. Clipboard," but they still like him – they just have their fun behind his back. At home, George's loyal wife, Angie (Constance Marie), has the patience of a saint and copes with his mother Benny’s (Berlita Moreno) insensitive wisecracks and George's lax approach to parenthood. George and Angie's 9-year-old son, Max (Luis Armand Garcia), is a constantly curious ball of energy, while their bright 14-year-old daughter, Carmen (Masiela Lusha), struggles with the ups and downs of being a teenager. He must choose either his acerbic line-inspector mother, Benny, or Ernie. George's hardworking and patient wife, Angie, copes with Benny's constant wisecracks and cares for the couple's kids, precocious 9-year-old Max and 13-year-old Carmen, who is dealing with the traumas of being a teenager.
