News anchor Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) -and his team at Atlantis Cable News (ACN) Network continue their quixotic mission to "do the news well" as they face a new series of corporate, commercial and personal obstacles in Season 2 of Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed HBO drama series. Set over the course of five days leading up to Election Day 2012, this season encompasses numerous flashbacks to earlier events from 2011 and 2012; meanwhile, a wrongful-termination lawsuit is filed by a staffer alleged to have doctored a report on a suspicious U.S. drone strike. Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Olivia Munn co-star with guest stars including Jane Fonda and Hope Davis.
