App does not recognize metadata

It seems incredible to me, but out of my 20+GB of songs, sonca only recognized the metadata of 4 albums. I emailed them but got no response. I can't believe I payed for this.

Review title of LanceNot an alternative to Onedrive/Groove Music sync... yet

Since Groove Music is retiring the OneDrive/Groove cloud music sync, I decided to look for an app that can do that. I decided to buy this one for $1.99. It does pull music from OneDrive, but it lumps it all as one artist and one album. I'll give it 2 stars for syncing the music and the dev being aware of the issue, but it needs to separate it correctly. Hopefully that comes soon.

Review title of IanThe blossoming of a fine project; already surprising

Sonca is an interesting multimedia manager and player. I was not sure what to expect, as details are relatively scarce. However, after purchase and first-hand experience it looks like a fine project that will blossom, as it already includes surprising functionality. A standard detail of most multimedia players in Windows 10 is support for the Fluent Design System (indeed, even Groove Music supports). Sonca is no exception, with beautiful elements such as light and translucency. However, it is not Fluent that makes Sonca interesting. It already supports features that I have not seen in other multimedia managers or players. It supports—like other Finebits OÜ projects—the Share platform, allowing content to be shared to users or apps! Customization options are limited, however. There are no themes (no Christmas Snow!)—only two colors. It is not yet mature, but it has the (immediately evident) potential to blossom into an app perhaps equal with the other fine offerings from Finebits OÜ.

Review title of ArjayGood but not optimized

The design is very much similar to Fluent design by MS. But it is too bland and flat for me. Take a cue on Groove Music for design implementations as the added menu just to show control description is a very old feature from Windows 8. There are still some hiccups and bugs when used, even had a access denied error when first starting up. Memory management is also not good as it even eats up more than 2GB of RAM on my laptop. Please optimize this app, it would be a good replacement for my current music player.

Review title of S31Need polishing, but it's a good start.

Ok, updated review. Finally got it to sync with OneDrive. Don't know what I did, it just started working. Works well, buffering is fast. Right now, OneDrive playback is basic. It just shows up as a long list of music. Needs to be able to follow the folder hierarchy that's on OneDrive. Right now, it just lists songs one after another. So, it's a good start but needs polishing. For 1.99 I'm happy. Had it been full price I may have been upset. However, if the developer can sort the issues out with playlists and folders when playing from OneDrive, this will be a five star app. Even at full price.
