Description
Young swordsman Chi Ming-sheng (Ti Lung) saves the life of Cho Yi-fan (Alexander Fu Sheng) who has fainted in the desert. Cho tells Chi that he is chasing after an unforgivable foe. Chi, in fact, is one of the Thirteen Eagles - the assassins of the Iron Boat Clan headed by the ruthless ringleader Yueh Hsi-hung (Ku Feng). Once, while the Thirteen Eagles were trying to rob a well-protected security bureau, Chi was injured. He was then saved and looked after by Wang An and his sister Wang Hsiao-feng. But when Yueh discovers that Wang An is one of the four famous constables in the country, he ordered Wang An killed. Chi tries to save the lives of Wang An and Hsiao-feng as they had saved him, but he is unable to warn them in time and the brother and sister are killed. Yu-chin (Jenny Tsang), daughter of the great swordsman Szu-ma Hsin, marries the young martial artist Cho Yi-fan. Together, Cho and Szu-ma Hsin were known to be undefeatable, and Yueh had always wanted to get rid of Szu-ma Hsin. He finally succeeds in having the Thirteen Eagles kill Szu-ma Hsin and his pregnant daughter Yu-chin. But Chi is guilt-ridden after the killings and decides to leave the clan. Yueh, who would never allow his men leave so easily, orders the other Eagles to hunt Chi down. In the desert, Chi, with the help of Cho, defeats the Eagle assassins sent after him. The two eventually smash the Iron Boat Clan, killing Yueh and the rest of the Eagles. Chi is seriously injured in the fight, and before his death he finds out that his partner Cho was the husband of Szu-ma Yu-chin, whom he had killed under the orders of Yueh.
