Description

The Council is an episodic game like no other. Delivering a fresh take on the Narrative Adventure, your choices and character growth truly matter. Make hard-hitting decisions, but also develop an array of skills to directly impact how the story unfolds. With permanent consequences, there is no going back. Plunge into a tale of intrigue and manipulation, with a cast of alluring characters each hiding their own dark secrets. Take the role of secret society member Louis de Richet after his invitation to a private island off the shores of 1793 England. Joining him are a number of guests, including Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington. The strange nature of this reception goes beyond the prestigious guests – Richet’s mother has gone missing on the island, while each of the colorful cast has their own hidden agendas.

A intelligent story with a lot of choose your own adventure moments, that actually change the story, all with RPG elements that change the choose your own adventure into more game changing elements. Choose detective skills, ocult, or political skills, that level up, to help you through a thrilling mystery. Great voice acting and cast. Couldn't put it down once I sarted.

Review title of PURPINCUPlike telltale but even more in-depth

oh and you can "fail" some confrontations and keep playing. I love telltale but i really love the detective kind of stuff this game has to offer. Fun game for anyone that likes decision based games with what seems to be severe consequences sometimes. Also if you like sherlock holmes, you might give this a try.Not as heavy on the detective aspect but it's definitely still there, plus so many CHOICES!!!

If you like Telltale Games or life is strange where your decisions have consequences then you will love this game. The developers brought in RPG elements into the game where you have a skill tree that you have to unlock. The graphics are pretty good, too. Not the cartoon look of Telltale Games, but not the watercolor look of life is strange. I can think of only 2 negative things to say about this game. Sometimes the voice acting feels like they are just reading off of a script instead of being actual emotional people. Also, there is not too much in the way of tutorials. Sometimes it feels like you are being rushed through certain sequences without knowing exactly what to do. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes to come out.

There is a mystery to each character you meet that I really enjoy, and the branching skill tree provides you with abilities that make you feel like Sherlock Holmes trying to solve a great mystery. Not your average every day Choose Your Path game. Game features skills that unlock access to different dialogue options. The game also features a really interesting cast of characters like George Washington and Napoleon Bonaparte. That right there is what caught my attention the most. Washington and Bonaparte in the same room together and being able to interact with them? COUNT ME IN! History buffs, you will love this game!

In my opinon this is THE BEST game in this genre since The Wolf Among Us. And while that is still my favorite game like this, this game is a very close second. It might end up becoming my favorite eventually since i am just getting to episode two. Once all of them are out this could very well be the best. Even if your not a huge fan of the genre this game is still definitely worth playing. The storyline has kept me captivated so far, and unlike all other games of this genre this one has definite replayability because you have three classes to choose from. So you need to play "at least" three times just to see where each class takes you, not to mention the countless choices will lead you down multiple paths. And this is just episode one. OK who am i kidding this by far the best game of the genre and yes i hate to admit it but even much better than the wolf among us, which i guess is now bumped to number 2.

Loved thi game, I also like politics, art and history so maybe im biased. My first thought on the game was bad, for me...the first scene is ohhhh so cringeworthy. However I am giving this game 5 stars because through all the glitches and voice failing and cringe moments,you can tell thi game isfor the story and your involvement. Like when they talk about Artemisia Gentileschi, they refer to 'her' as 'him , but they also tell you that she based Holofernes in her painting off of her own real lifer rapist. I never bloody knew that and I have adegree in art history. Iwill admit I had some moments where this game got me annoyed, but again, this games full of 'oh f**k what do I do' moments so for me its worth the minor aggrevations. If you like story games, movie ones, thinking games and decision based games, then try this game. Even if you dont like it, it will stick with you as an interesting mysttery.

Review title of MR C1TYA Season To Look Forward To

As someone who has grown tired of the Tell Tale formula The Council manages to breath new life into the genre. The whole semi-RPG factor this game has actually works nicely. It begs for multiple runs through as a different class and different story options that I soo look forward to. The setting is fantastic, The voice Actors are fantastic, Although the main character can seem a bit off at times you get used to him, As for the supporting cast they are phenomenal. For 7 dollars you definitely get your moneys worth for Ep1, Even if its just to check it out as I did. Now I love it. Bring on the rest of the episodes. Great job!
