Description

With her family murdered in front of her and the ancient Timespinner device destroyed, Lunais is suddenly transported into an unknown world, stranded with seemingly no hope of return. Using her power to control time, Lunais vows to take her revenge on the evil Lachiem Empire, but sometimes the course of history isn’t quite as black and white as it seems... Explore a vast, connected world with beautifully drawn and detailed pixel art environments. Traverse between the barren present and luscious past of Lachiem, collecting elemental magic orbs and combining their power to destroy enemies with blades and spells. Befriend mysterious creatures called Familiars, such as the adorable dream dragon Meyef, and train them to aid you in battle. Test your skills and timing with intense boss battles, and you venture forth to take on the Emperor himself!

Great metroidvania game. 3 hours in, (ive noticed zero feminism\man hate mentioned by other reviwer. ) exploration works well, with breakable wall secrets so keep on lookout for them. Dual weild weaponry, AI Familiars and equipment, relics, spells and potions\food, as well as leveling for character, weapon and familiars. A near perfect copy of Castlevania: SoTN in its systems and mechanically in how it plays, and thats NOT a criticism. The story and setting are much removed from Cvania games though. More of a Star Ocean feel. Its been good so far. Definitely worth a buy at 20. If you like metroidvnia games you'll love this. UPDATE: The game does not suspend well, so before opening netflix or powering down, make sure to hit a save point. They are reasonably spaced, so its a minor annoyance at best.

Review title of KinkyLeviticusGreat metroidvania but high school level writing

Prettyy spot on gameplay for the metroidvania genre. Large interconnected world with good combat, bosses and exploration. You level up weapons as you use them which is aneat idea. Around half of the weapons (of which there are only around 15) were just the same as others, so I felt little draw to level them up. No big deal from a game made by like one guy. Dude even put in multiple endings and a randomized dungeon which is awesome. The story wouldd be fine if a bit bland (a classic revenge plot) but unfortunately the writing is trash. Most characters act like horny high schoolers in half their conversations, always flirting or alluding to what npc they want to sleep with. Lines like 'you're my magic meat machine' are just awkward when theyre so common. The game doesnt have a militant feminist agenda as others have said, but it does have a cast of almost exclusively LGBT+ characters. This would be fine and welcome if they were written well but they arent. Really needed a 2nd draft

Review title of VeechaPretty but dull

Well animated and beautiful pixel art. Presentation in general is good. The sands of time mechanic allows for some creativity in combat and lets you make platforms out of enemies but it's under utilized. Map design is dull with too many long flat areas. MMORPG fetch quests that require you to kill certain amounts of enemies and grind RNG item drops really kill the fun. The game even requests you to do tasks that you won't be able to do until later but makes you think you can anyway. Poor balancing and AI means you'll often fight boring button mash sponges. Writing is very amateur.

Review title of dopey696Awesome fun game!

This definitely scratched that metroid itch, although I will note some aspects are more reminiscent of Castlevania. This game was great, sure the writing may be a bit immature, but I wasnt expecting a profound novel; it was a fun little story. The game mechanics are fun and different and it wasnt to hard.

Review title of WattMadeGameplay 8 Story 2

So, I'm conflicted on how I feel about the game. The gameplay is very similar to Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, which I think it was heavily influenced from. Monsters have a chance to drop equipment, your character gaines experience for herself and her weapons. My biggest complaint is the story and the characters. It feels like its one big LGBTQ,feminist, toxic masculanity propaganda. The story is weak at best and ruins the experience.

Review title of lived thru NamBrilliant Metroidvania!!

Loved it!! Controls are spot on , story is actually pretty good, weapon attacks are great, levels are interesting and timespinner mechanic is cool! Great metroidvania!! The only complaint is that even with 100 percent completion the game is about 12 hours and it's a bit easy once powered up. Still worth your time if you love this style of game!

Review title of GrrlPowerFTWWorth buying, but be ready for some condescension.

The gameplay and metroidvania of this game is top notch, and I really like how as the game progresses the black and white view you and your main character are given turns to shades of gray. The game defitely has an axe to grind regarding privilege but, with the exception of a couple places, the agenda is prevented very maturely, in my opinion. Those times where they hit you over the head to make you get woke were a little insulting, though, and are what cost the game the fifth star.
