TreeSize Touch offers basic well-known functions of the TreeSize family. The touch-optimized interface allows the user to quickly explore local directories and analyse disk space usage units with a few taps, regardless of the type of storage: TreeSize Touch supports hard disks (e.g. HDD or SSD) as well as removable media (such as SD cards or USB sticks). Directories can be selected and scanned right at a fingertip. During the scan TreeSize Touch automatically creates a directory view (called a tree), which can be sorted according to various criteria: - Real size of the folders/files - The size assigned to file or folders on the medium (allocated space) - The percentage of space the file takes up in the containing (parent) folder - Number of files in the folder - File and folder names Users can select the size unit results will be displayed in: kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB) or “best fitting unit” (AUTO). Probably the quickest way to find wasted space: a touch on “Top100” reveals up to 100 of the most space consuming files in the selected directory. Similarly, you can select a folder or file and display detailed information with a simple button click. The details grant deeper insight into the properties of the selected object: Name, Path, Size, Number of included files and folders, Last modification date, Last access date, Attributes, Date of Creation can be shown. Some of these values are also displayed during and after the scan in a status bar at the bottom of the screen. They supplement the results of the scan and provide a quick help to decide whether this file or folder is still needed. Using the touch-based context menu, users can easily select a file or folder to delete it from the storage device. In combination with the “Top100” view of TreeSize Touch this is a great way to quickly free up storage space on your Windows 8 system. To customers who want to clean up their hard drives or portable storages unit and prefer to work without the touch interface, we would like to recommend our other TreeSize versions.
