This game is beyond amazing, its beautiful story, graphics, and feeling. It captures wars horrible reality. And the characters are amazing. But is very sad in the end but in the good way. this game is very under rated and needs its own little spot light just for a little while so that word gets around of a beautiful game about ww1. thank you for this masterpiece! And I still play it to this day!

Instead of immersive combat, gameplay is simple puzzle-solving used to drive the immersive story, which is further enhanced by the deceptively profound artistic style. This game is best suited for those with empathy seeking a tale of humanity, tragedy and history. If that is you, bring a handkerchief or some tissue.

One of the few games to make me cry, the only to do so with gameplay. Well written and emotional, tells stories from both sides of the war. The gameplay itself is largely made up of solving puzzles to progress through each level. Not a challenging game but that's not what it's going for. If you're looking for a relaxing game to play in your free time and to learn a little bit of history in a fun way, this is a solid choice (especially if you catch it on sale).

The Good - Wonderful Story In the age of the mind numbing one man genocide shooter (aka COD) it takes real guts to remind us that these where people fighting and dieing in these conflicts. Almost none of whom had any real say. Thats what this story is about, the people. Not the fighting, not the politics, not the war. The people. - Great Music Both original and licenced tracks are used brilliantly. Who knew classical could be perfect for a chase scene? - Great Visuals The 'Nothing special' minimalist art style has an undeniable charm. - Classic Adventure 'Point and Click' gameplay is ,oddly enough, fun. The Bad - QTE's Some very, VERY annoying quick time events in one charactors segments. - WW1 No really, do some research. WW2 was a vacation by comparison.

The game itself is beautiful, charming, and immersive. Very few faults with the simple nature of the game and how it will pull you into an amazing story. The only true fault I had found was with the Quick Time Events not allowing me to progress at times in the story. Overall one of the best games I have played, I recommend this game highly, especially to history buffs.

Do yourself a favor and buy this game. Trust me. You won't regret it. This game has great art, music, story, and the gameplay holds up as well. The art style is cartoony and gritty, so it's very fitting for a game that takes place in The Great War. The music is fantastic, and fits in with the depressing tones that any WW1 game should bring. The story consists of several unique, memorable characters, and the plot does a good job of covering WW1 altogether. I don't want to spoil one bit of it. The gameplay consists of simple little puzzles and whatnot, and completing them is very satisfying. And thank god it's a singleplayer, historical war type of game without repetitive shooter gameplay! Also the game includes optional educational content that you can read throughout the story to help immerse yourself. Great game!

Cartoony yet charming animation but really captures the horrors of war better than most games with more realistic graphics. Story is emotional and is complemented by spectacular music. World War I facts and pictures that you find really give a good educational value as well. Challenging puzzles and excellent level design. Valiant Hearts is certainly worth the money and will definitely stay with you after you complete it.
