DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY FROM MICROSOFT.
DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY FROM MICROSOFT. If you have any issues, they will give you the run around. After visiting the store, chatting, and 2 hours of calls I got a replacement. The replacement didn't work so now dealinging on the phone again. 8 transfers....yes EIGHT! And 1.5 hours on the phone and no closer to getting a replacement. And after my last transfer it was to a number that said "We are now closed!" Buy from a brick and mortar non-microsoft store and save yourself the headaches.

MR BROOKS 86
Better off getting the regular controller. After 4 months the grips started coming off and the LB RB broke. After replacing the LB RB the B button didn't work anymore a month later then the LB RB broke again. If I didn't have the paddles it would be in the trash. For the money you're spending it should've been designed to be way more durable. The gamestop special would've lasted as long and is cheaper than the regular controller. 2 cents from Man Hands

absolute garbage. lb and rb will break in a matter of months. the rubber grips will begin peeling off. not the quality one would expect for $149. i bought two. one for myself and one for my wife. they are both paperweights while i still have my controller that came with my xb1 day one.

I've been using this controller for about a year and everything has held up well. The quality does feel better then the regular controller. I feel it's worth the money if you utilize the rear paddles.

A Must if you want an edge
I use mine for about 10 hrs a day and only until a year in did the grips start peeling. The customization options are vast and important if you play shooters. Paddles keeps thumbs on joysticks, trigger sens options plus deadzone customization. Hair trigger settings is a must and complete mappable buttons make this superior and cheaper than a scuf

Great idea, poor execution.
The first generation of these controllers were awesome! I accidentally broke mine in a move and had to replace it. Since then I have been through 4 of these controllers. First replacement the shoulder buttons stopped working because the pin broke, which was a gear of war 4 SE version of the controller and couldn't be replaced. The second one same thing. The plastic connector for the shoulder button broke. On the 3rd one the right side thumb stick started wearing out. My current iteration constantly loses connectivity with the console. It's only about 2 months old and all of the replacements have lasted 6 months or less. I highly suggest avoiding these until MS gets around to paying their assembly line workers more....

Owned 2. Both fell apart after 6 month. The bumpers were falling out, ghost inputs, rubber coming off after 2 months of use, and now one the back paddles doesn't work. Everyone I know has had issues just a few months into owning these. Great concept, bad quality and doesnt last. Not worth the money.

Superior functionality! So so quality.
This controller is invaluable to me as an xbox gamer. The swappable precision sticks and the paddles add an extra dimension of control that, once experienced, is difficult to live without. I am giving this product 3 stars because I have gone through four of them since the product's initial release, and on each one I have had to make repairs using after market parts. The LB and RB buttons tend to break inside the controller and the cheap plastic part has to be replaced by disassembling the controller with an expensive security screwdriver. The sticks have the exact same tendency for drift as the much less expensive standard controller and the rubber base tends to peel away from the plastic controller over time... though with the latest generation this last problem seems to have been addressed to some degree. I would say 5 stars for great functionality but 3 stars when factoring in overall quality; especially considering the premium price point. Still, I recommend this controller!

ON MY 5th ELITE CONTROLLER, NO BULLS**T !!
I bought this same controller from Best Buy, & I am soooooo freakin glad i bought the extended warranty. I am currently on my 5th, that's right ppl, my FIFTH (5th) Xbox Elite controller. The only reason that Im on number 5 is because it cost almost $200 for the first one (149.99 + tax + $19.99 for the extened warranty), plus $19.99 every single time I've returned it to extend the warrenty further, and im going once again because this thing is f***ing up again. It's kool when it works, but is far from Elite. I have a feeling (could be wrong), but i doubt Microsoft is going to honor the warranty the same as Best Buy. So, in my opinion, this controller is far from worth the $150 + tax + shipping. I would save your money until they get their crap together. Everything game related is soooo over priced. Concentrate on making good products instead of how to gouge your customer base.
