Vancouver User Group May 27: Custom Connectors to Azure Functions and Power Platform Certifications by Shannon Lindsay
The May Vancouver User Group has a very special guest speaker, Shannon Lindsay from the Microsoft certification team! After the meeting kick off by noted Power Platform expert and Microsoft Business Applications MVP Scott Durow and Microsoft Technical specialist Ali Sharifi covering the highlights of the month, Shannon Lindsay will walk the Vancouver User Group members through the Microsoft certification process and best practices for taking the exams:
Certification Session Abstract:
Have you ever thought about getting Microsoft certified? Shannon will talk us through considerations for getting certified, review the landscape of Power Platform certifications, and start the discussion for the best way to prepare for the exam. If this is something that’s been on your mind please join us to learn how certification can benefit you, and if you’re already certified, please join the discussion to share your experience.
Charles Sterling will then conclude the meeting walking members how to create Azure functions, reference them in customer connectors for use in Power Apps.
Custom Connector Session Abstract:
While built-in Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, and Microsoft Power Apps offer over 325+ connectors to connect to Microsoft and non-Microsoft services, you may want to communicate with services that aren’t available as prebuilt connectors. Custom connectors address this scenario by allowing you to create (and even share) a connector with its own triggers and actions. This session will walk through how to create these custom connectors to Azure functions.
