In the past, you might have been able to roughly simulate this visualization, although the process required some effort. However, we\u2019ve been listening to your requests and are happy to announce that you can now quickly and easily achieve this very typical visualization by using the new Data table control that has been recently added to PowerApps.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pwrappscdn.azureedge.net\/mediahandler\/blog\/media\/PowerApps\/blog\/d0dfac57-403b-4e66-93ac-f4ba0b619e34.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"insertDataTable\" border=\"0\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/pwrappscdn.azureedge.net\/mediahandler\/blog\/media\/PowerApps\/blog\/d0dfac57-403b-4e66-93ac-f4ba0b619e34.png\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" title=\"insertDataTable\" width=\"1028\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve added the control to a screen, you simply need to link your Data table to a data source and then select which fields to show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pwrappscdn.azureedge.net\/mediahandler\/blog\/media\/PowerApps\/blog\/e99d67c1-6634-4146-8ff1-bf7d645f0862.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"restyledDataTable\" border=\"0\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/pwrappscdn.azureedge.net\/mediahandler\/blog\/media\/PowerApps\/blog\/e99d67c1-6634-4146-8ff1-bf7d645f0862.png\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" title=\"restyledDataTable\" width=\"1115\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2>What the Data table control includes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Connected data sources<\/strong><br \/>\n\tYou can use the <strong>Data table<\/strong> control in conjunction with connected data sources.\u00a0 Support for static data sources like Excel is coming soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Single-record selection<\/strong><br \/>\n\tUsers can select only one row at a time in the <strong>Data table<\/strong> control. You can then use the <strong>Selected<\/strong> property to access field values from that row and provide data context to other controls in the app.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Read-only data<\/strong><br \/>\n\tAs with <strong>Gallery<\/strong> controls, <strong>Data table<\/strong> controls show read-only data. To enable a record to be edited, you must link the selected row in the <strong>Data table<\/strong> control to an <strong>Edit form<\/strong> control or another control that supports updating data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Column headings<\/strong><br \/>\n\tA row of column headings appears at the top of the <strong>Data table<\/strong> control for reference. You can style the column headings to achieve the appearance you want.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Broad customization support<\/strong><br \/>\n\tYou can restyle a <strong>Data table<\/strong> control by customizing several properties.
