My name is John Straumann and I am an Automation Specialist with the Mighty South region here at Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>In the first post in this series, we explored using LOBE, AI Builder, and Power Automate to process COVID vaccination cards sent in via Email:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/powerautomate.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/using-the-power-platform-to-automate-the-classification-and-validation-of-us-vaccination-record-cards\/\"><strong>https:\/\/powerautomate.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/using-the-power-platform-to-automate-the-classification-and-validation-of-us-vaccination-record-cards\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this post, we will expand the original automation in a practical example and connect to Microsoft\u2019s Return to Workplace solution built on the Power Platform:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/powerplatform.microsoft.com\/en-us\/return-to-the-workplace\/\"><strong>https:\/\/powerplatform.microsoft.com\/en-us\/return-to-the-workplace\/<\/strong><\/a><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Return to the Workplace Solution (RTW) provides helpful tools for executive leaders, facility managers, employees, and health and safety leaders. Use this technology to return to the workplace with confidence by creating a safer and healthier work environment for your teams. The tools include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location readiness:<\/strong> In the Leadership Dashboard, executive leaders review current workplace data pertaining to COVID-19 conditions and facility readiness factors. Go to Power Apps:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/make.powerapps.com\/\">https:\/\/make.powerapps.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Log in, and select your environment. For this example I pre-set the Employee ID to create the attestation for, a great exercise would be to expand the automation to search all the Users in the system to match the User information extracted from the card.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7630\" height=\"757\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2022\/03\/1_33.png\" width=\"884\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_33.webp 884w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_33-300x257.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_33-768x658.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 884px) 100vw, 884px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The next step is to use the Dataverse \u201cUpload an Image\u201d component to save the vaccination card image to the attestation. Note due to the way the Power Platform works, the image cannot be uploaded to the Attestation until the record is actually created and saved, and that\u2019s why this was broken into 2 separate steps. The table is set to \u201cVaccination Attestations\u201d, the Row ID is set to the ID produced from the creation of the Attestation step, the column is set to \u201cVaccine Card\u201d, and the content is set to the Attachment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7631\" height=\"845\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2022\/03\/1_35.png\" width=\"878\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The last additional step is to use the Add a Row component to add a Note to the new attestation, describing the upload and marking the record with a time stamp.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7632\" height=\"738\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2022\/03\/1_38.png\" width=\"882\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_38.webp 882w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_38-300x251.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1_38-768x643.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 882px) 100vw, 882px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it!
