Use custom responses to provide granular feedback for content reviews (E.g.: Approve, Approve with edits, Reject), respond to an approval to offer discount with discount limits (Up to 5%, Up to 10%, Up to 15%, Denied), and more!<\/p>\n<h3>Create an approval with custom responses<\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s say we want to send an approval request each time a proposal is uploaded to a SharePoint folder, and allow the approver to respond with one of three options: <em>Accept<\/em>, <em>Accept with edits<\/em>, <em>Reject<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, begin by adding an action that starts an approval, just as you do today.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-839 size-full\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2019\/03\/Start-an-approval.jpg\" width=\"607\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Start-an-approval.jpg 607w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Start-an-approval-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 607px) 100vw, 607px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, select one of the two &#8216;Custom Responses&#8217; options in the Approval type dropdown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-840 size-full\" height=\"230\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2019\/03\/Custom-responses-approval-type.jpg\" width=\"609\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, specify your custom response by filling in the &#8216;Response options item&#8217; field. For instance, if the outcome of the request is <em>Accept<\/em>\/<em>Reject<\/em>, move the proposal to a folder for accepted\/rejected proposals, but if it is <em>Accept with edits<\/em>, send an email to notify the author to make changes to the proposal.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, add a Condition or a Switch action, pick the \u2018Outcome\u2019 field of the approval request from the dynamic content picker and check whether the value equals <em>Accept<\/em>, <em>Accept with edits<\/em> and <em>Reject<\/em> respectively.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-842 size-full\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/powerautomateblogmedia.azureedge.net\/powerautomateblog\/2019\/03\/Custom-responses-in-conditions.jpg\" width=\"1201\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Respond to approval requests with a custom response<\/h3>\n<p>Responding to an approval with custom response options is no different from responding to Approve\/Reject approvals.
