Learn about recurring billing subscriptions in the United Kingdom

When you purchase a Microsoft recurring billing subscription, it automatically renews at the regular price and interval you selected and continues until you cancel it.

Cancel your subscription to stop future charges

You can stop future recurring billing charges by turning off recurring billing or cancelling your subscription. If you cancel your subscription and are eligible for a refund, you may choose to take the refund and end your subscription immediately. If you are not eligible for a refund, your subscription will stop at the end of your current billing period.

To turn off recurring billing or cancel your subscription, visit your Microsoft account dashboard (https://account.microsoft.com) or contact customer service (https://support.microsoft.com/contactus). For specific instructions, see how to cancel your Microsoft subscription (https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/c2c6b0e3-cab3-cb98-d83e-c9ad54620530).

For Xbox subscriptions, visit subscriptions and billing (https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-billing/browse) or, on your console, go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions. Select your subscription and choose Cancel or Turn off recurring billing.

Refund policy

You can receive a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase or before your first recurring billing date (whichever is sooner) by cancelling your subscription using the instructions above. For Xbox subscriptions, you can also request an Xbox subscription refund (https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-billing/manage-subscriptions/refund-subscriptions).

This refund policy doesn’t affect any additional rights you may have under applicable law and doesn’t apply to prepaid retail subscription codes, which are subject to the return policies of the retailer from which you purchased the code.

Third party payments

If a third party is billing you for your subscription, contact them for information about cancellation and refunds.

Price changes

If the price of your subscription ever changes, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the new price becomes effective. You’ll have the opportunity to cancel before the price changes. Otherwise, the new price becomes effective on your next billing date.

Additional offer terms

For certain offers, additional terms may apply to your purchase. If there are additional terms shown when you purchase your subscription, those terms may be different from the standard terms and will apply to your purchase instead of these terms.
