The approach is now used commonly in today’s mobile devices. Additionally, the rigorous experimental approach had a significant impact on the research methodology in mobile computing community. It anticipated not only the Wi-Fi-based indoor localization solutions widely used by our mobile devices today, but also the growing interest in exploiting wireless infrastructure for goals beyond communications.
