Ishai Menache

Researcher

About

I am a researcher in MSR Redmond. My focus is on developing resource management frameworks for large datacenters. I am also interested in the economics of cloud computing.

Current main projects:

  • Multi-tenant cloud systems (cluster scheduling, Database as-a-service)
  • Large-scale workforce management

Before joining MSR, I worked on machine learning algorithms (specifically, reinforcement learning), and also on game theoretic models of communication networks (Diffserv, wireless MAC, cognitive radios, etc., see this monograph for a summary). See Google Scholar for a complete list of publications.

Recent PCs: EuroSys’17, SPAA’16
