About
I am a Sr. principal research manager at Microsoft Research Asia (opens in new tab) now. I joined MSRA in Sep. 2003. Before that, I obtained my Ph.D degree from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academic of Sciences in 2003 , and my Master degree from Zhejiang University in 2000 respectively.
During the past 16 years, I worked on a series of cross-discipline research areas including multimedia systems, data mining for software systems, machine learning and data mining for business intelligence. Previous projects include multi-view video (multi-view video capturing, compressing and streaming over IP network), Peer-to-peer streaming, data analysis for online services, big-data analysis techniques for business intelligence. Recently, I mainly worked on conversational bot technologies especially designed for data analysis domain, which can help common users to analyze tabular data sets through natural language conversation.
