Olga started at Xbox Research as an intern in June 2017 and then rejoined full time in 2018 after completing her PhD in Human Factors and Applied Cognition at North Carolina State University. During her time in graduate school, her research projects examined how people search and evaluate health information online, what makes individuals vulnerable to email phishing attacks, and how people perceive color in safety situations. After an exciting summer working on games users research, she decided it was the path she wanted to pursue full time.
Olga currently conducts research across the Minecraft Franchise. She is also involved in examining multiplayer experiences and interactions on Xbox Live. Outside of work, she enjoys adventuring to various national parks and exploring the great Northwest.
