About

I am a principal researcher at Microsoft Research Redmond. I got my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005. I got my Bachelor degree from the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 1998.

My research interests lie in the intersection of databases and distributed systems.

uLink

Historically, mobile apps didn’t have links equivalent to web deep links. Mobile deep links, introduced in recent years, don’t provide the same user experience of web URLs because they’re defined statically to navigate to a page for a given link, but not to dynamically generate a link for a given page. uLink is a new deep linking mechanism that brings the notion of web URLs to mobile apps. SenseWeb

Established: December 10, 2008

SenseWeb is a peer produced sensor network that consists of sensors deployed by contributors across the globe. It allows developing sensing applications that use the shared sensing resources and our sensor querying and tasking mechanisms. SensorMap is one such application that mashes up sensor data from SenseWeb on a map interface, and provides interactive tools to selectively query sensors and visualize data, along with authenticated access to manage sensors.
