\"3-screens-one-cloud\"The eleventh annual Computing in the 21st Century Conference was held in Japan on November 4 in Tokyo and November 6 in Kyoto. The theme, “Three Screens and One Cloud: Rethinking Computing,” brought together researchers and scientists to discuss how businesses and consumers take advantage of technologies with different form factors.<\/p>\n

About the Conference<\/h2>\n

Since its inception eleven years ago, Microsoft Research Asia has been committed to advancing the state of the art of computer science in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of this effort, the research lab hosts the 21st Century in Computing Conference each fall, inviting leading computer science luminaries, including Turing Award winners, industry gurus, and academic heavyweights, to present keynote speeches and discuss current topics with attendees. The conference has become one of the most influential events of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, tackling an important topic in computer science each year.<\/p>\n

The upcoming conference will be held in Japan in a joint effort with Japanese academia and the research community. The two sessions, November 4 at Keio University and November 6 at Kyoto University, are expected to attract large groups of professors and students of computer science and related disciplines.<\/p>\n
