\nCambridge CB2 1DQOpens in a new tab<\/span><\/p>\n","tab-content":[{"id":0,"name":"","content":"Dr Ariel Gomez Diaz, Morgan Fellow at Downing College, University of Cambridge and Senior Optical Scientist at Microsoft Research Cambridge, invited members of the University of Cambridge, the Microsoft Optics for the Cloud Research Alliance and Microsoft Research Cambridge to explore the future of the cloud with prestigious external speakers Dr Patrick Salter<\/a> and Associate Professor Jie Qiao<\/a>, and from Microsoft Research Cambridge, Partner Deputy Lab Director Dr Ant Rowstron<\/a> head of the Cloud Infrastructure Team<\/a>.\r\n\r\nWe highlighted the important role which the academic community has played, and will continue to play, in the development of new technologies for networking, computing and data storage in the cloud, the event had a strong appeal to postgrads and postdocs, as well as faculty members, in relevant disciplines. The event took place at Downing College Cambridge on Thursday 20 February 2020 starting at 16:00 pm, and was followed by an optional networking dinner at 19:30 pm.\r\n
