Since its initial release in late 2006, WWT has become an integral part of many scientists\u2019 research platform and an indispensable curriculum companion for many science teachers worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The WWT project is\u00a0a collaborative effort between Microsoft Research and a variety of academic and governmental agencies. With the integration of WWT and <a class=\"msr-external-link glyph-append glyph-append-open-in-new-tab glyph-append-xsmall\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsofttranslator.com\/\">Microsoft Translator <span class=\"sr-only\"> (opens in new tab)<\/span><\/a>(MT), machine translation of the WWT UI is immediately available for the 38 languages that MT currently supports. More importantly, a user can modify and validate the translation and contribute to the language database in Windows Azure Marketplace. The localization of the\u00a0WWT UI is truly the result of a community effort.<\/li>\n<li><b>Layerscape<\/b> \u2013 <em>Powered by WWT and Windows Azure Marketplace<\/em><br \/>\nLayerscape provides a cloud-based user experience to make it easy for users to create and share three-dimensional geo-based data visualization with time series.<\/li>\n<li><b>WWT Ambassadors Program<br \/>\n<\/b>WorldWide Telescope Ambassadors (WWTA) use WWT to educate the public about astronomy and science.
