Previous<br \/>\nwork mainly focused on the selection of<br \/>\neither the source side of a hierarchical rule<br \/>\nor the target side of a hierarchical rule<br \/>\nrather than considering both of them simultaneously.<br \/>\nThis paper presents a joint<br \/>\nmodel to predict the selection of hierarchical<br \/>\nrules. The proposed model is estimated<br \/>\nbased on four sub-models where the<br \/>\nrich context knowledge from both source<br \/>\nand target sides is leveraged. Our method<br \/>\ncan be easily incorporated into the practical<br \/>\nSMT systems with the log-linear<br \/>\nmodel framework.
