How is AI being used to protect the world\u2019s most endangered animals? <\/p>\n
In concert with nine animal conservation groups, USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society (CAIS) is in the midst of a massive deployment of predictive Artificial Intelligence to fight poachers globally. <\/p>\n
This planned roll-out – in nearly 600 wildlife parks across 55 countries – has incredible potential to aid the humans on the front lines of protecting animals. It allows wildlife rangers in places like Cambodia, Bhutan, Uganda, etc. to predict where the poachers are going to be, where and when the traps and snares are going to be, with incredible accuracy. <\/p>\n
