during the time when the trace was captured and how each of those plans performed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 .0001pt .5in;text-indent:-0.25in;\"><span style=\"color:black;font-family:Symbol;\"><span>\u00b7<span style=\"font:7pt 'Times New Roman';\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:black;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri;\">What queries are running slower in today&#8217;s data as compared to a previous set of data.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin:0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:8.5pt;color:black;font-family:'Verdana','sans-serif';\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin:0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri;\"><span style=\"color:black;\">You can also test how the system will behave with some change (different service pack or hot fix build, changing a stored procedure or function, modifying or adding indexes, and so forth) by using the provided tools to replay the trace files against another instance of SQL Server.\u00a0 If you capture trace during this replay you can use the tools to directly compare to the original baseline capture.<\/span><span style=\"font-size:11pt;color:black;\"><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin:0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:8.5pt;color:black;font-family:'Verdana','sans-serif';\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin:0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size:8.5pt;color:black;font-family:'Verdana','sans-serif';\">This release of the utilities supersedes the previous version, as described in KB <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/887057\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;font-family:'Times New Roman';\">887057<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The previous release continues to be available to customers who do not have SQL Server 2005.\u00a0 This release supports SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 trace file formats and should be used any time you have SQL Server 2005 in your environment.\u00a0 This
