Founders can sign up and gain access to $5,000 in Azure credits quickly, without the delay of a lengthy validation process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>For startups that have secured investment from VCs or startup accelerators<\/strong>, we\u2019ve created a new path to access Azure. As of launch, a select group of investors and accelerators will be able to share a path to access benefits that allow rapidly developing early-stage startups access to Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>Please find more details around our changes and FAQs at our <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/microsoft-for-startups\/changes-microsoft-for-startups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trying new things and learning from outcomes (the famed growth mindset) is a critical component of Microsoft\u2019s culture. This principle anchors on the fundamental belief that everyone can grow and develop, and that potential is nurtured rather than predetermined.&nbsp; This same mindset is common across founders, as it\u2019s critical for success in a market where iteration is a requirement for relevance.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/startups\/\">Microsoft for Startups<\/a>, this is an always-on mindset for us, as we are consistently working to improve the startup experience with Microsoft. Over the past year, in true startup form, we\u2019ve been making quick iterations on our platform\u2014experimenting with new ideas, refining our approach, and listening closely to our startup community. We&#8217;re happy to see that it\u2019s paying off: within the Microsoft for Startups program, <strong>Azure OpenAI credit usage has grown by 48% year over year<\/strong>,<sup>1<\/sup> a clear signal that more startups are finding value in what we\u2019re building. Every experiment we have tried has helped sharpen our focus and strengthen our platform for exploring what\u2019s next.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we evaluated our progress, we saw startups leveraging <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/\">Microsoft Azure<\/a> to achieve three main goals: build fast, scale smart, and sell more. We&#8217;ve been proud to be part of the solution that is helping startups accelerate their progress and find success, and we\u2019re doubling down on making our partnership with startups even more powerful.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"gain-quick-access-to-enterprise-approved-cloud-services\">Gain quick access to enterprise-approved cloud services&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As startups strive to gain market share with limited resources, \u201ccustomer trust\u201d provides the foundation for a fast track to growth. Azure helps startups gain enterprise trust more quickly. How? By building on Azure, the trusted cloud solution by enterprises, startups are building on a cloud that prioritizes security and enterprise-readiness. It\u2019s the halo effect of the trust that Microsoft has cultivated over years of development, investment, and innovation in the industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It stands to reason that Microsoft\u2019s enterprise customers are eager to work with startups that are built on our technology\u2014because it\u2019s the same technology they use.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faros.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Faros AI<\/a>. By collaborating with Microsoft for Startups and NVIDIA Inception, the startup had the opportunity to leverage Microsoft&#8217;s leading AI capabilities, cloud services, and enterprise go-to-market expertise to build its AI metagenomic discovery platform. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignright wp-block-bloginabox-theme-kicker\" data-bi-an=\"Kicker Left\">\n\t<div class=\"kicker\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"kicker__title\">\n\t\t\tWhat is The Azure Kubernetes Service?\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<p class=\"kicker__content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a\n\t\t\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/products\/kubernetes-service\"\n\t\t\t\t\tclass=\"kicker__link\"\n\t\t\t\t\ttarget=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tLearn more\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2197<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Basecamp Research team is leveraging the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to orchestrate complex Dagster data pipelines, requiring precise coordination between complex metagenomic data ingestion, processing, and analysis workflows.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-quote-default-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>AKS&#8217;s scalability and flexibility unlocked huge productivity gains for our team, enabling us to increase our data processing throughput 100 times, and grow our novel biological dataset to more than three petabytes in scale over the past year.<\/em><\/p>\n<cite>\u2014<em>Saif Ur-Rehman, Principle Data Engineer, Basecamp<\/em>&nbsp;<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-we-re-evolving-microsoft-for-startups\">How we\u2019re evolving Microsoft for Startups&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beginning this week, to further ensure that every startup can access Azure and benefit from the trust that Microsoft has built in the market, we\u2019re making sure that starting on Azure is even easier for every startup.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>For early-stage startups<\/strong>, we\u2019ve streamlined access to Azure for any founder wanting to get started. In this self-service option, founders can sign up and gain access to Azure quickly, without the delay of a lengthy validation process. Startups will now go directly into a startup-specific Azure portal view. This tailored experience ensures startups get the most relevant information with credits ready to use, reducing the friction to get started. Best of all, founders will get hands-on experience with enterprise-grade tools that make building a startup even more attractive to enterprise customers, right out of the gate. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\"><strong>For startups that have secured investment from VCs or startup accelerators<\/strong>, we\u2019ve created a new path to access Azure. Similar to the self-service option, this investor-driven access is designed to get startups up and going on Azure as quickly and efficiently as possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft for Startups is no stranger to the investor ecosystem, and we continue to expand our network of accelerator partners.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Neo<\/a>, a relatively new entrant into the world of startup accelerators, has quickly ascended to be one of the most sought-after accelerator programs today. Feedback from accelerator and investment partners like Neo has helped us hone our strategy to address how we can best serve startups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-quote-default-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We love working with Microsoft for Startups, and over the years I&#8217;ve seen how earnestly they support young companies. By contributing to the efforts of our investor partners, we can work collaboratively to drive even more impact and success. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve created multiple paths for startups to engage with Microsoft: a self-service Azure credit offer for anyone with an idea, and an investor partner-led experience for funded startups. With these paths, and startup-specific view on Azure portal, we\u2019re providing startups with support that matches their pace, their path, and their potential.
