Yarmouth (Maine)PD and Fire
Hi. It's been many years since I lived in Yarmouth and was employed as a local correspondent to the Portland, ME. newspapers. I covered Yarmouth and Freeport news. Mostly all of it. I learned early to get myself a police scanner if I wanted to earn a little extra money by submitting short reports on spot news. I am now 72 years old, widowed and aiming for great -grandmotherhood in the near future. I now live in southeastern Arizona and have not visited the Grand Canyon yet. I found your site and am enjoying it very much. I must say that I greatly miss the sound of the voices of Ernie and Florence Winslow. He was the long time Chief of the Fire Department and she ( besides being his wife was the llongtime Fire and other municipal departments Dispatcher. Ernie was always very busy working on fire affairs, but Florence, who did her dispatching duties from their home, was always good "for the rest of the story". I enjoyed my whole time working there. Covering the yearly Clam Fest, BOFFO.More
Wish they would update listings or reactivate offline stations. Other than that, it's a pretty good application to listen to. Used it last weekend with a big fire in my area.More
