Excellent with several suggestions:

Please add: - export as PDF or other popular formats - lock/unlock objects - canvas sliders - add EDIT button to button's menu

Cool tool but a bit misleading

Offered as a FREE tool but it's really a TRIAL - you can't save anything unless you pay for it via an in-app "add-on". I can see using that to add additional paid functionality that not everyone may need, but the ability to [at least] save locally isn't exactly an add-on feature. The tool IS worth buying. The other item I would call out is the need for some doc/guidance on using this tool. There is a lot of functionality in AppMock but users will be unable to take full advantage without help.

Good tool for mocks

Uses cloud and identity management issues are fixed. Touch friendly too.

Neat proof-of-concept.

This is a good start to what could be a great app. This is a fantastic way for Telerik to show off some of their controls while also providing a much needed design tool to the community as a whole. Currently, it's difficult to use. Snap to grid doesn't work when dragging from the control library, and getting items to line up or stretch to the width of the screen is cumbersome. There's so much potential for this app, such as integrated properties, basic interactivity, even code generation.

Neat, but can't actually export

First of all - good job, Telerik. We need a mockup app. Still, it's half-baked. It *says* you can export, but it's really just a Save feature. Mockups can't be exported to PNG or PDF or any format usable by clients. Don't waste your time in this app if you plan on exporting images to specifications - your only choice will be screen shots. Also, if it's so good for mocking up Windows 8 apps, how come there's no [clear or obvious] way to simulate different orientations and snap views?

Good start, but missing something

Quick drag and drop is great, but it feels like something is missing. Sorry, I can't put my finger on it. The platform definitely needs something like this and I am glad to see Telerik doing it. I will keep checking back on this over time to see how it progresses.

Good idea, not complete

It shows promise, but there are a number of features that are missing or incomplete (or not intuitive enough for me to figure out). Example, SkyDrive integration, deleting projects, export to image/PDF/PPT, ability to edit properties of certain controls (such as heading text), UX spit and polish, system level settings (e.g., always show grid instead of setting for each screen), etc. I hope the app is updated regularly and is not just a demo that will be forgotten. I'm still using it.

Nice

Thanks Telerik free app very useful and good, but color themes don't work for me and I don't understand the animations.

So glad I found this.

Was looking for a robust Windows 8 app mockup tool. Randomly decided to look at the example tools app done by Telerik and found this. Not perfect but as a dedicated Windows 8 mockup tool using the same UI, it really helps keep it in mind the whole time. Good work guys!
