Engadget is my go-to source for all tech news, but I feel like the windows ecosystem has been a little neglected by Engadget developers. I would love to see a new universal app, but this is quenching my thirst in the meantime.

When it works

When it works right it is great but after a few days it stops loading feeds and I have to uninstall and reinstall in order to use app. Please fix for more stars.

Works great for loading articles and reading. Really like the format that the articles load in vs the actual website. Not so great for videos embedded in the article, they never load. Comments can't be left/accessed via the app, you have to open the site in a browser for that. These features would make this app a 5 star app

This app follows the WP design principles and it allows you to browse through the latest news in tech very quickly.

I've edited my review several times due to drastic changes taking place on every new iteration of this app. I'm glad to say that this is the best version yet; and so I replace my previous 2 star rating. This is a near perfect version. Videos play without issue and load times, while not as fast as before, are acceptable. A future inclusion of a comments feature and a slight bump in speed could put this app at the five star mark in my book.

Great UI, easy to navigate. One star for crashing way too often - totally annoying, going back to www. Still crashing even with updated phone (Lumia 1020). It seems like no matter what device I use, this app isn't stable. 😒

This app is actually terrible. First off, the videos don't play. While they used to just go to a YouTube site that said "Video nit found", now it plays some sound along with the first frame before it crashes the app. Then, you have to wait about 30 seconds for the app to resume. Speaking if resuming, you can't ever leave the app and come back to the same spot because it reloads every time. Absolutely no thought placed into the design and in no way is it any more convenient than just accessing the site from a saved favorite in the browser. Big let down

Please fix the fast app resume!!! When I lock the screen and unlock it takes me back to the beginning of the article. Its very annoying.

Love the windows phone 8 update! But have a couple issues: (1) Can't share an article via text messaging. (2) Every video I've tried to play sends me to a YouTube page that says "Video not found." Would be nice if it could even open in my YouTube app. Will update to 5 stars once fixed.
