Best IRC app on the store

Now that the app has has some time to mature, it has become one of the best IRC apps on the store. Does not appear to have Windows 10 Support at the moment.

Finally a good client

I've been waiting for a good client to show up on the store ever since Windows 8 was released. A client which could connect over SSL, stay connected in the background and have a good snapped view. I've been holding off on getting this until I saw this newest update. It works great and suits my needs for the most part.

Pretty Awesome IRC Client

Really, this is easily one of the best IRC Clients for windows 8. it is fully featured, and has a lot of options for configuring things to your liking. I cant really say anything bad about it. I like it

Great IRC client. Hooks up to ZNC just fine. When docked, I can open up links in desktop Chrome. I like the built-in themes (maybe there could be more). The interface is very easy to use and uncluttered. I bought it after about 15 minutes with the free version.

Not updated

Doesn't appear to be updated since Sept of 2014. Dev stated in April he was working on it but nothing yet.

Finally a good IRC Client

I've been on the look out for a good IRC client. This one is slick. Looks very nice and runs smooth. Has most of every feature you would need. Unfortunately for me to replace my mIRC client I would need a button someone to "Tile" all of my channels so they are all visible at one time. The current way of "multitasking" is very limited. Although it does workout fine if you are only in 3 channels. I'm generally in about 6 or more. Keep up the great work.

Best metro IRc client

Excellent IRC client. Only fail is when clicking links on a multiple monitor system, even with the default browser open on another monitor, irc minimizes. Please add an option if possible to open links in the background. Otherwise, the growth of this client is awesome. I use it over all desktop client options.

Top notch IRC client.

I've been trying various IRC clients both from the store and from the internet and this is by far one of the best. It has a clean interface and easy to use menus. It's not loaded down with junk you will never use and the DCC system works very well. If you looking for a IRC client that works and you like getting a file, give this app a try. Now has SSL features.

No support for self-signed certificates

No toggle option either.

Decent with a few quirks

After six months of using IRC Explorer, I've got to say I've rather grown to appreciate it. The themes are very clean and the snap modes work well. The client is pretty solid, but there are a few annoyances. 1. The '/query' command doesn't send a message. Or maybe it does, it just doesn't appear in the opened query window. 2. Commands to run on connection don't wait for Nickserv authentication to be completed so some channel joins fail. 3. When Nickserv is configured to auto-join channels on login, this doesn't appear to be honored either. 4. Self-signed SSL certificates are disallowed by default. There are no configuration options to skip strict checking. Overall I'd say the stability and usability is wonderful, though the inability to connect to IRC servers using self-signed certificates is worth a couple stars. Please continue the work, it's a great client and can be even better.
