Works well both Tablet and Desktop

Found this app to be surprisingly quick for entering ideas then again surprised by the powerful feature set. The software adapts nicely between desktop and tablet which is extremely convenient. However, there are a few oddities with the visual design. One example is the odd placement of some menu items. Another oddity is the placement of text on a relationship line. Text here is a nice feature but it can make the diagram look extremely ugly. I was pleased with my overall experience with this app.

5 Star App - 3 Star GUI

This is an amazing app and its also incredibly powerful. The automatic Wikipedia article mind-mapping tool is very useful for college/graduate students looking to organize information on complex topics for their homework or research. However the app needs to step up its GUI rendering. The menu on the left is disproportionately large and looks pixelated. Same with the menu items on the top and right; these two are huge and you cannot hide them. They are always present interrupting your view of what's behind. These are only small flaws in an otherwise amazing app. Great Job!

Works the way I think

I imported a massive spreadsheet of our network equipment. It made all the appropriate links, and with the search feature, I can search a machine name, a user, a type of machine, etc. and get links to all the rest of the relevant information. I would like to be able to rearrange things at some point, but for now, it does an excellent job of helping me sort out relations between items etc. It also looks incredibly impressive if I leave it up in the background on my larger monitor... I definitely look like I'm working hard. ;) In reality, it's making my job easier.

Great Mind Mapping tool

It is a great tool for mind mapping as well as integrating research. It feels a little clunky at first. Once you get the hang of it, it actually comes in handy.

I can see how it works. It looks good.

The GUI organization is a bit awkward for me as I think in terms of hierarchical terms..., nesting and so forth. I need to keep up with the trend, so I'm going with it.

Lame

I downloaded the free trial and got the error message: something went wrong while opening KnowledgeBase Builder. I upgraded for .99 due to having windows 10 and still got the same message. There were no additional features either. This is a waste of time and money.

Hi Alexander, this is a fault of your Windows App Store installation. Please uninstall the KnowledgeBase Builder App, restart Windows and afterwards press the Windows key together with the R key (this opens the Windows excecute dialog). Then enter wsreset and press the OK button. This will reset the Windows Store cache and restart the Windows Store. Then download and install the KnowledgeBase Builder again.

Don't waste your money

Terrible UI, extremely low resolution for an app, lags on basic functions. It's really not what it needs to be, and without a few more iterations the frustration of using the app isn't worth the time. Better apps are out there for now.

Its okay

I have Visio 2016 and that is pretty boring. This app seemed like it could make mapping a little more interesting and fun for my projects. It is fun but I don't like how I can't move the position of the flows. Maybe I was doing something wrong but was unable to do so for a hour lol.

Easy, intuitive, and useful!

Got a framework for a complex situation set up in seconds. The key concepts are ready to go. Great to be able to add links and images to collateral documents stored elsewhere.

App details

Version notes

New: Mind maps can be created automatically from Wikipedia articles. To do so, the app first performs a Wikipedia search for relevant articles. Then it downloads the articles together with all images and arranges them in a mind map. The internet access right is only needed for downloading Wikipedia articles. Items can be expanded and collapsed in order to show the description text in the diagram. We're working hard on building the best mind and concept mapping program ever, but we need your help. If you have any suggestions for further updates, please let us know. We will do our best to include them in one of the next updates. In case of problems, please contact us directly by e-mail. Only then we will have the opportunity to respond to your questions and help you solving your problem. Thank you.
