Good so far

So far it seems pretty good, gets the feeds, and lets you look at them on it's own built in browser, but one thing that I wish it would do, is to highlight the unread feeds, but so far it's working better than most RSS feeders out there in the store 👍

We need your feedback to improve our Live Reader

Some users mentioned about timeout issue. User can resolve timeout issue by making timer to 0 from settings charm. Thanks for submitting your Reviews. We updated Live Reader based on your feedback. Next update will fix any defects mentioned in users review. We will try to cover features requested by you in next version. Next Version will also integrate Facebook, Twitter and/or Google Reader. You can also see live update from your pinned friends on dashboard.

Needs work, getting better

It can't update feeds through live tile, had a few days old reports showing. Could use notifications on new Feeds too so you know exactly whats changed.

(before)It works! The best rss reader out there. Please add remove group button. (after) Gone! Gone! Gone! Everything Gone. Gone with the wind!

Great RSS Reader when it doesn't lose my feeds

I've really enjoyed using Live Reader, until tonight. I clicked on the live tile, and all my entered feeds were gone. Wish there was a way to back them up or retrieve them.

Almost good

I give the developer props for his efforts at creating a nice looking app. I does look like it will pull in feeds, but the updates need to be requested manually. It is missing a few key features: ability to share links to articles via email and to import feeds from an opml file. And, when a feed is installed, it shows the latest update and you can't always see what the name of the feed is.

Areas of improvement

1. visual responsiveness is low (delay when adding a new feed) 2. scrolling +1 3. you should engage a designer (colors are horrible; no real pictures---you could load them from the articles' page) 4. updating ALL tiles at the same time is a fail---attracting attention is impossible when all change 5. first 3 tiles are superfluous, but consider a list-based approach for feeds like Mail or ClassicRSS

Need Live Tile And Doesn't Order Date Descending

To me, the whole point of a windows 8 rss reader is to see updates as a live tile. Also, it doesn't seem to order by date descending, by default. I'm subscribed to a podcast where the xml file is ordered date ascending and this program shows the oldest item first (if the xml file is ordered date descending then it shows the most recent).

The app looks really promising...it's designed better than the other rss apps, but I can't sync with my google account which makes this app worthless to me.

Setting Up Technical Reads

I had no problem setting up various technical sites for reading. I would rate this higher if it wouldn't time-out or whatever it does to switch me back to the start screen while I am reading an article.

  • Live Social + RSS feed Reader.
  • Real time update of feeds just like live tile.
  • In App Browsing
  • Easy navigation between feed articles
  • Offline viewing
