Essential for win rt

Really good even plays .mkv on home server. Wish there was a status / progress bar when copying multiple files

Nice Layout. Performs as intended.

The two-pane layout is a nice feature that simplifies file transfer between directories. Navigation feature buttons provide needed flexibility for quickly moving between directories within a single pane. The video view feature is very convenient for quick look. It serves as a nice complement to other more conventional one-pane file management tools.

Good start - a bit clunky

I think it's a pretty good start, although, having to add folders to browse is annoying, and I really wish they'd put a windows explorer style window on the left where you can expand and shrink folders by clicking on them. Will use, but still not a perfect metro replacement for desktop file explorer. Keep up the good work!

Great start

This is probably the best file manager amongst Metro style apps right now. Still the usability is poor for non-touch devices.

Midnight Commander Metro

An explorer which shows all file types anywhere, online, on your lan, or on your computer, in a touch and mouse friendly way. This actually looks like very old file management UI found in FTP programs since DOS.

Great App but has a few personal issues

This is a good application for an organized way to sort and view your files in your computer with either a preset or custom background set up to your liking. I really do like how you can choose 1 of the preset "libraries" on your PC or browse and bring up any folder located on your hard drive. The other feature I enjoy is that unlike most apps like this that open just say jpeg mp3 and mp4 files only this app opens pretty much any type of file you can find for a PC there hasn't been a single type of file I've tried and have not open. There are things I don't like about the app though you can only open 2 "folders" at a time 1 on either half of the app, can't minimize the selected "folders" either and setting a custom picture as the background is a bit annoying due to the fact the app likes to put the picture up focusing on Bottom Center and sizes up images to "fit" if they don't match the width or height cutting out or distorting the image. All in all I give Metro Commander 4 out of 5.

Just the Ticket

I was looking for a Metro tablet optimized file manager that worked like classic Explorer, and this is it. The more I use this app, the more I like it. You can find files, multi-select in one pane and copy or move to the other pane. It recognizes you network and you quickly move items from a network connected computer to your table - just have the remote folder open in one pane and your local tablet folder open in the other. This has become an essential tool for synchronizing across my entire home network. It is the best in class file manager.
