Only plays music

This is a simple music player. Nothing close to useful except that. Add songs to playlists one at a time, can't customize where your music folders are.

No instructions!

Can't figure out how to open media on external drives on my Surface 2--micro card slot or USB port. Only seems to look for media in standard Surface set-up (on the hard drive). My tablet doesn't have enough capacity to put lots of music & videos on the hard drive. Info, please! 1 star--so far--for lack of instruction. Don't know how much I might like it if I can get it to access my files.

Music/Video/Pictures/Etc.

This app seems to work good for me. So far I like it. I'm sure I'll find something I wish it could do but, so far, so good.

A Very Strange App

When I click on "Music" it says, no media, despite my having over 1200 songs on my computer. I have over 100 videos, but it says 'No Media'. Apparently, unless you keep your "media" in the folders designated by Windows, you can't add them to your library. Hasn't this guy heard of cloud storage? News Flash: Nobody keeps their "media" in folders any more. We keep that stuff on clouds, so we can access it anywhere.

This is less than worthless

It doesn't open, doesn't operate - it has no purpose. It's a "pretty" version of Windows Media Center or Windows Music player. It's just a cheap knockoff looking version of iTunes.

This app is good

I'm ran windows 8.1 64bit and after I install this update from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40744) this app is running good. Thanks and good time with windows 8

Don't bother

Read the reviews and knew I had a little bit better than a 50% chance it would work... it didn't. Spinning dots, spinning dots and nothing more. I let it sit and spin for 15 min thinking maybe it was scanning my libraries before opening but it never did. Deleted it.

Would be perect but no MKV

Great layout and easy to use. But doesn't play MKV. Which is a shame since it is a common file these days and limits me to half my files. Will use this app when it is completely functional.

Still Weird

M8 fits nicely with Win 8.1. It all feels weird to me, but a little poking around, and it did exactly what I got it for: converting a WMA file (personal sound recording) into mp3 format useful by the whole rest of the world.
