very buggy

this apps looks a lot like the web version, except it is very buggy. you can't manually refresh the feeds. and when they do refresh on their own (which isn't that often and is inconsistent, sometimes going for long stretches without refreshing even though there are new stories waiting), there's some major problems. first, the stories become all mixed up, showing a bunch of old stories mixed in with the new ones. If you load a different page and then go back, the stories then show up in the order they should. secondly, when the stories refresh, you get this deluge of notifications, one for each story, instead of a consolidated notification. all of these bugs make using the app a terrible experience and renders the app all but useless. the publisher also seems to be ignoring the windows 8 version of this app, as there have been no updates to fix any of these bugs in a very long time.

Its the right direction but still needs work

I love Pulse and want to love this app, especially since pulse is now broken on Windows 8.1 IE11. (what isn't) . unfortunately it still needs some work - it needs refresh on demand feature and better performance.

Same as website but with less functionality-

This is an official app made by creator of Pulse.me. Using that web app in Windows 8 was originally a better experience than using this store app. You were able to use certain gestures that are no longer present in Windows 8.1 via the web. Might be ie11's fault.. I only installed the app because the web version stopped working following the official ie11/W8.1 release. This is only usable full screen or snapped to a the larger portion in W8.1. Much less productive than with W8 and the Pulse.me website. Still, Pulse is great and I highly recommend this app (as in, better than nothing) if you've upgraded to 8.1.

Like the format but too many annoying things

I like the general format and content, but few things are annoying a) The weird notification model when it is refreshing content. That just does not make sense. b) I'd love to have a refresh capability in my control. Sometimes that app does not refresh on its own as well. c) It would be good to show the time of the story within the tiles.

Best RSS reader

I loved this app on my iPad and although this isn't as good as the iPad version I still think this is the best RSS reader on the windows store. I wish it had the horizontal scrolling like they have on the iPad but if your use to the web app you will feel right at home in this app.

8.1 borked it

I have read that 8.1 never really closes apps, sometimes. So when I use Pulse, then close it, then open it (sometimes), I see the same news and no way to refresh. Anyway that should be an easy fix. PS bring Pulse back to WP8.

Annoying scrolling

The page scrolls back to the top when new items get added to the top. Imagine going through pages and pages and then getting reset every few minutes! Very annoying!!

Useless app

Terrible UI, there are much better apps out there for reading your news, sorry guys but you only ported the web app to windows 8. It is much better to open it on the browser. It needs a lot of work and a new UI more compatible with the new modern layout. You did a better work for other platforms , so I don't know why you didn't do the same here.
