Simple.TV

Video falls out of sync with audio very often. Sometimes jumping around the time line for the show will correct it, most times you have to close, open again, then find your spot on the time line. Don't worry about that last part as you'll get good it since you'll have to do it every 10-15 minutes or less. Here's a clue for the Dev: Make the basic functionality of that app work first, FLAWLESSLY, then add in all the other garbage Dev's do (I know because I am one too). Once basic playback works all the time, every time, then you can add in the extra junk. Do us all a favor and start there.

Worthy of its' name Simple TV! Remotely accessible from a variety of devices makes this my only choice to manage my recordings and watch all my tv shows. Couple of wishes....skip fast forward to breeze through commercial and perhaps cloud storage ability.

When watching live video stops but the audio keeps going. Poor navigation of live channels. Have not tried the app for watching recorded shows.

This app is pretty good for playing your recorded shows but I can't figure out how to delete shows or change DVRs.

My initial review is below. I returned my unit for replacement. The new unit works much better. I still have two issues. One, the unit refuses to spin the drive down, when idle. I have tried 3 different ones. Two, when you play a recording and stop, the unit forever stays at that spot on the file with drive activity continuous l even after logging out or closing the program. This could be a firmware bug, since it also happens using the web app. Must reset unit to stop. Not as responsive to touch as the mouse. The areas on the screen where there scroll bars are hidden don't show up to touch. I didn't see a place for viewing the upcoming recorded settings. I set a program to record at a future date but couldn't find a way to confirm the settings. So far it works well on. My network just haven't had the chance to try it from outside. I have used it a while, the playback controls dont work. Can't skip ahead or back except to the beginning.. needs to be fixed.

Plays well, and has good interface. I'd luv to have a 30 sec skip on recorded videos tho.

Thank you for a modern app experience for Simple.TV - it makes my use of your services so much more enjoyable. The touch piece is great!

Had a difficult time with playback and real time viewing with first app I downloaded on my Windows Phone. I've since reloaded (the phone completely) and this problem has been cured. Hardware receiver still hangs occasionally and won't respond. Wish this could be reset remotely.

Good so far. Easy to use on phone and desktop.

Easy to navigate and so far no problems. Does not have the option to delete a show, at least not that I have found yet. All in all good app.
